About Alexia “Lexi”

Alexia Lindell (Lexi) is a licensed acupuncturist by the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Medicine. She is board certified as a Diplomate of Acupuncture from the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM).

Alexia graduated from the New England School of Acupuncture (NESA) at the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences (MCPHS), where she earned a Master’s degree in Acupuncture with a focus on both Chinese and Japanese styles.

She had a clinical internship at the Chronic Pain Clinic at the VA hospital in Bedford MA, where she developed her skills in providing relief for veterans from an extensive range of conditions including Post-Traumatic Stress/depression, headaches, migraines, and digestive disorders.

Alexia also has considerable experience working with children and teens. During her clinical internship in the Integrative Pediatric Pain Unit at Boston Medical Center, she had the opportunity to treat acute illnesses such as respiratory and sinus infections, allergies and asthma, and OB/GYN concerns. She also got to witness firsthand, and successfully treat, the growing epidemic of anxiety and emotional disorders in youth.

Along with her training in traditional Chinese and Japanese acupuncture, Alexia has extensive experience in orthopedic sports medicine acupuncture- allowing her to treat a wide range of acute and chronic musculoskeletal disorders.

Prior to entering the field of Chinese Medicine, Alexia served as an active-duty member in the U.S. Coast Guard. After attending the U.S. Coast Guard Academy where she received her B.S. in political science, she spent the next ten years in service earning the rank of Lieutenant and leading military teams through high- risk operations with a focus on search & rescue and counter narcotic missions.

Toward the end of her military career, Alexia became increasingly interested in yoga. What started as a simple exercise class, quickly developed into a much deeper self-care journey to becoming a certified yoga instructor, and later to train as a breathwork facilitator and mindfulness coach.

This exploration into Eastern wellness practices ultimately led her to acupuncture.

Alexia skillfully pulls from all of her unique training, knowledge and experience, to approach each patient’s needs with an integrative, individualized perspective to achieve optimal healthcare outcomes.
